About the role#
The Interior Design Intern supports our team across a variety of project types including higher education, libraries, performing arts, government, office, and multi-family developments. You will contribute to the development and presentation of design ideas while gaining exposure to multiple project phases.
What you'll do#
- Assist with design exploration and project documentation in Revit.
- Create client presentations using InDesign.
- Build project finish binders and presentation boards.
- Help prepare FF&E specification packages, budgets, and documentation.
- Research, select, and specify interior and furniture finishes.
- Coordinate with interiors product representatives.
- Maintain and organize the interiors library.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in interior design from a CIDA accredited school.
- Knowledge of space planning, ADA, and life safety requirements.
- Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with FF&E, color, and materials.
- Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- A service-focused mindset that prioritizes client requirements and budgets.
- Interest in sustainability and sustainable materials.
- Experience with Enscape and AutoCAD is a plus.
