About the role#
The State of Washington Auditor's Office is seeking an Audit Intern to join the Financial Audit team in Olympia. This role involves working with audit staff to support government accountability. This is a paid, full-time internship with a flexible, hybrid work environment. Please note that this position requires regular commuting to the Olympia area and travel to various audit sites.
What you'll do#
- Perform audit tests and analyze data.
- Communicate with entity staff during the audit process.
- Provide support for complex audit procedures.
- Participate in small or large assignments as part of the audit team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least sophomore year completed.
- Completion of some accounting coursework.
- Alternatively, two years of professional experience including accounting work, or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills.
