Student Intern, Water Resources

About the role#

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Student Intern for the Water Resources team in Minneapolis. This internship is designed to help you build a foundation in technical analysis, design, and project documentation while working on water resources, infrastructure, environmental, structural, and energy projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of civil engineering tasks and develop your career toward future technical or managerial responsibilities.

What you'll do#

• Focus on water resources analysis and design, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
• Utilize ArcGIS for mapping and perform grading and drainage design.
• Conduct culvert and pipe network analysis.
• Prepare construction documents, project reports, and cost estimates.
• Perform field work and travel as required.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a BSCE degree program at an ABET-accredited university.
• Current standing as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work legally in the United States for an unlimited time without requiring sponsorship.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and drainage software.
