About the role#
Stanley Consultants is seeking a Student Intern to join the Civil team within the Water Department in Minneapolis. This is a paid, on-site, temporary position with the potential for future full-time employment. You will contribute to infrastructure projects while gaining hands-on experience in engineering studies, design, and construction observation.
What you'll do#
- Complete tasks related to site design, grading, utilities, and project planning.
- Collect and analyze engineering data.
- Check design computations and quantity estimates.
- Prepare preliminary calculations and assist in developing reports, specifications, and project plans.
- Participate in periodic observation of ongoing construction projects.
- Attend client meetings and perform field work as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Civil Engineering.
- Standing as at least a college sophomore with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong interest in community-focused infrastructure design.
- Good writing skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, or GIS software is considered a plus.
