About the role#
SPIROL is looking for a Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering intern for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Stow, Ohio, to gain experience in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, paid position where you will work alongside engineering and manufacturing professionals on projects that impact daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate current production methods and procedures to find opportunities for improvement.
- Take part in Continuous Improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
- Conduct time studies to support production standards and item creation.
- Assist with the implementation of new or upgraded processes and equipment.
- Support process development and documentation efforts.
- Create forms, checklists, procedures, and schedules for manufacturing activities.
- Research new equipment, technologies, and supplies to improve operations.
- Collaborate with plant personnel, office staff, suppliers, and contractors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate Engineering or Technical program at an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and 3D CAD modeling.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing setting.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and initiative.
