About the role#
Speedwell Construction is hiring Estimating Interns for the summer of 2026. This role supports our estimating team in completing competitive bids. You will gain experience with design-build and design-bid-build projects while learning how our estimating and project teams collaborate.
What you'll do#
- Assist estimators with active bids.
- Call subcontractors and suppliers.
- Keep the subcontractor list updated in SmartBid.
- Create and edit proposals, scope sheets, RFIs, and clarifications.
- Distribute bid documents, RFIs, and addendums.
- Prepare bid forms and documents for bid day.
- Schedule meetings and estimating events.
- Print documents for estimators and subcontractors.
- Assist with sub-bid tallies and reporting.
- Create agendas for hand-off meetings.
- Attend estimating, hand-off, and page turner meetings.
- Learn to use Bluebeam, SmartBid, and Destini software.
- Explore other divisions within Speedwell.
What you'll need#
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to make phone calls.
- General construction knowledge and familiarity with industry terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to work well in a team and support any estimator.

- This role is located in Manheim, Pennsylvania.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
