About the role#
This is a paid, on-site internship based in Hampton, Georgia, for the Winter 2027 term. You will join the Field Marketing team to help execute grassroots marketing, promotional activities, and community events throughout the Metro Atlanta area and across Georgia. This role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and some overnight travel.
What you'll do#
- Manage event displays and collateral, including set-up and tear down.
- Engage with fans and approach strangers to start natural conversations.
- Build our database by encouraging fans to sign up for giveaways.
- Represent the Speedway as an informed brand ambassador.
- Document event details and submit reports on attendance and collateral distribution.
- Provide a final review with suggestions for future program improvements.
- Develop relationships with local businesses and identify new events for participation.
- Assist with general marketing tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a four-year college or university, with a focus on Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications.
- Interest in sports, motorsports, or sports marketing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain high energy during shifts.
- Integrity, creativity, and a self-starting attitude.
- Capacity to stand and remain mobile for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Promotional experience and local market knowledge are helpful but not required.
