Full Time Student Optician

About the role#

As a Student Optician at Specsavers, you will assist customers in understanding their visual needs and interpreting optical prescriptions. Working under the supervision of a Licensed Optician, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive eyewear that provides optimal comfort, style, and function. This is a full-time position for the Summer 2026 term.

What you'll do#

• Provide personalized guidance to customers on frame and lens selection.
• Perform accurate dispensing measurements using digital tools and conduct quality assurance checks.
• Maintain deep knowledge of frames, lenses, treatments, and current promotions to educate customers.
• Manage after-care services and resolve customer complaints with effective problem-solving.
• Support daily store operations, including inventory management and maintaining brand standards.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an Opticianry post-secondary program.
• At least 2 years of previous customer service experience.
• Ability to stay organized and composed in a retail environment.
• Reliability and flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Location & details#

• Location: Lloydminster, Alberta.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week, including weekends.
