About the role#
Southern States LLC is hiring a Co-op Manufacturing Engineer for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Hampton, Georgia. You will work directly with the Manufacturing Engineering Department to support daily production activities.
What you'll do#
- Design tools and fixtures for manufacturing using SolidWorks CAD software.
- Develop new tooling and production methods.
- Analyze material storage and identify improvements.
- Collect and analyze data on labor and machinery productivity.
- Work on machine tool set up reduction.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year Engineering degree program with at least one year of college completed.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Commitment to work three or more rotating semesters.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with or knowledge of metal cutting processes and machinery.
