About the role#
The Data Engineering Cooperative Education Intern supports data modernization efforts by helping prepare, organize, and maintain data used for reporting, analytics, and business decision-making. You will work alongside experienced data engineers to learn how data moves from source systems into trusted data products while ensuring data remains accurate, reliable, and accessible. This role provides exposure to cloud data platforms, reporting tools, and emerging AI-related data use cases.
What you'll do#
- Assist with building and maintaining data pipelines that move data between systems.
- Monitor data processes and report issues affecting data quality or availability.
- Support data validation, testing, and documentation activities.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand data needs and support reporting solutions.
- Assist in creating and documenting datasets, metadata, and business definitions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Data Science, or Statistics.
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Working knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A driven and curious mindset with the initiative to contribute beyond assigned tasks.
