About the role#
Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company hires students for an Applications Development Cooperative Education position. You will work with our IT team to gain practical experience with software development methodologies and real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Write and execute unit tests to validate individual code components.
- Assist in creating and running integration tests to check how system parts interact.
- Implement minor code modifications.
- Adjust existing code, fix bugs, and enhance features.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Information Systems, or Computer Information Systems.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Working knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably C#.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others and function well in a professional workplace.
- Commitment to meeting organizational goals and customer expectations.
