About the role#
This is a 12-month full-time internship starting in May 2027. You will work within our performance engineering team to ensure our software applications and infrastructure are ready for production. This role is based in Mississauga and follows a hybrid work model.
What you'll do#
- Design, script, and run performance tests to validate system stability.
- Condition test data to simulate real-world scenarios.
- Use load testing and performance engineering tools such as JMeter, AppDynamics, and Fiddler.
- Improve your programming and scripting skills by contributing to our automation framework.
- Analyze product code to find the root cause of performance issues.
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams to troubleshoot technical problems.
- Execute database-intensive test cases using SQL, PL-SQL, and stored procedures.
- Gain hands-on experience with cloud environments and understand the transition from on-premise systems.
- Learn how different roles, including developers, architects, and product managers, work together throughout the software development lifecycle.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- A solid grasp of algorithms, data structures, and database fundamentals.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic programming experience in at least one of the following: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Ruby, Rust, Lua, or Haskell.
- A curious mindset and a desire to learn as part of a team.
