About the role#
Sotheby’s offers a 10-week paid summer internship program for undergraduate students. This program provides practical training for those interested in a career within the fine art and auction industry. You will work within a specific department based on your academic interests and professional goals, gaining exposure to the inner workings of an international auction house.
What you'll do#
- Take on responsibilities typically held by full-time employees and contribute to various projects.
- Gain on-the-job training by working alongside experienced professionals.
- Participate in an ongoing Speaker Series to learn from company leaders.
- Network with peers, mentors, and senior managers through team-building sessions and museum tours.
- Collaborate with peers on a final Capstone project and present your findings to executives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- A strong academic record with a minimum 3.3 GPA.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and an adaptive, multi-tasking approach.
- Curiosity and passion for the fine art or luxury markets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to commit to the full 10-week onsite program.

- This is a full-time, paid, onsite internship located in New York, New York.
- The program runs from Monday, June 7, 2027, through Friday, August 13, 2027.
