About the role#
This position is for current nursing students expecting to graduate within the next year. You will work in the Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit, a 47-bed unit specializing in cardiac care, telemetry, and medical-surgical support. This role is designed to help you gain clinical experience as you transition toward a New Graduate Nurse position.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
- Offer emotional support to patients and their families.
- Perform clinical tasks within the scope of your LNA practice.
- Report observations, symptoms, and changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
- Document care in medical records and follow all infection prevention policies.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Assist with clerical and environmental duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a nursing program with an expected graduation date within one year.
- A current New Hampshire Nursing Assistant License.
- At least two years of current experience in an acute care setting.
- BLS authorization, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Manchester, New Hampshire.
- The position is on-site and full-time.
- The term begins in Winter 2027.
- The schedule requires 36 hours of work every six weeks, including one weekend shift per six-week cycle.
