About the role#
This is a paid internship within our Business Development team, running from October 2026 through May 2027. You will work alongside experienced sales professionals to observe the B2B sales cycle and gain exposure to our partner ecosystem, including AWS. This role is full-time and based on-site in Houston.
What you'll do#
- Research target accounts, industries, and market trends to identify new opportunities.
- Use LinkedIn, CRM data, and other sales tools to pinpoint key decision-makers.
- Build prospect lists and support outreach efforts through email and LinkedIn.
- Prepare for sales meetings by researching prospects and creating presentations or meeting materials.
- Track leads, opportunities, and follow-ups in our CRM to keep the pipeline accurate.
- Assist with preparations for conferences, networking events, and business development initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or recently earned a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Technology, or a related field.
- A genuine interest in sales, business development, and professional services.
- Ability to research companies, industries, and new technologies.
- Clear communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow through on tasks.
- Initiative and a willingness to learn quickly.
- Previous experience in sales, marketing, customer service, or business development is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot and experience using LinkedIn for professional networking.
- Interest in emerging tech such as cloud, AWS, software development, AI/ML, or IoT.
- Involvement in student organizations, business clubs, or networking events.
