About the role#
This is a hands-on engineering role based at our meat processing plant in Burlington. You will support our operations team by mapping processes and identifying constraints. The role focuses on applying your academic knowledge to real-world manufacturing challenges. You will work directly with plant staff, maintenance, quality assurance, and research teams to ensure our systems run safely and efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Map current operational processes and identify constraints.
- Take measurements and collect data from technical staff.
- Design or modify production processes and monitor the results of these upgrades.
- Troubleshoot existing systems to ensure they meet output and quality standards.
- Maintain safe manufacturing systems while improving yields, costs, and production rates.
- Create reports, flow diagrams, and charts to document your findings.
- Collaborate with specialists to ensure all technical requirements are met.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited Engineering program.
- Academic focus in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong academic performance.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

- Term: Rolling, with availability for 4, 8, or 12-month placements.
