About the role#
This internship provides exposure to the inner workings of a small business within the youth fitness sector. You will assist with the execution of the Soccer Shots season while gaining experience in planning, scheduling, sales, marketing, and management. You will work closely with the Executive Director and the Director of Coaching to prepare for the season and support program operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the overall execution of the scheduled Soccer Shots season.
- Coach youth sessions throughout the season.
- Plan and run a free clinic.
- Conduct video and photo projects.
- Run demos and attend promotional events.
- Participate in sales efforts and correspond with center directors.
- Create, print, and distribute registration forms and marketing materials.
- Prepare and maintain records of equipment sets and gear for instructors.
- Assist in the preparation of instructor training meetings.
- Perform data entry and prepare marketing documents.
- Participate in social media content creation and communication.
- Attend regional meetings, Director Round Table discussions, and staff meetings.
- Submit a final report on your experience.
What you'll need#
- Ability to present yourself in a professional manner.
- Consistency in arriving on time for office hours, coaching sessions, and events.
- Interest in planning, scheduling, sales, marketing, customer service, and management.
- Willingness to coach youth and work with parents and center directors.
- Pursuing studies in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or Communications.
