About the role#
SMB Capital offers an 8-week summer internship for students interested in active, intraday trading. You will work alongside elite traders and complete a training program modeled after our full-time new hire curriculum. This is an unpaid, on-site role designed for those seeking a career in professional trading.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with professional traders in real market conditions.
- Complete a rigorous 8-week training curriculum.
- Gain exposure to intraday trading workflows.
- Learn to combine discretionary trading with quantitative edge.
- Develop basic bionic trading tools with mentorship.
What you'll need#
- You are a current U.S. college student.
- You have built, analyzed, and optimized an automated trading strategy and can discuss your development process.
- You demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and thrive under pressure.
- You possess a competitive drive, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to learn in a team environment.
- You have a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- An academic background in computer science, economics, computer engineering, mathematics, or finance is preferred.
