About the role#
As a Product Design Engineer Intern, you will join the R&D team to work on projects that contribute to our drone hardware. You will solve technical problems while working alongside experienced engineers and researchers.
What you'll do#
- Design parts for next generation prototypes.
- Identify the root cause of mission critical issues on existing or developing products.
- Develop solutions through engineering design or manufacturing process changes.
- Validate your work through hands-on prototyping, testing, and data collection.
- Present your findings and designs in team reviews.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
What you'll need#
- Experience with 3D CAD software, with familiarity in CATIA preferred.
- Strong mechanical design fundamentals.
- Relentless curiosity and a drive to solve complex problems.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Bonus points for experience with injection molding, metal casting, CNC machining, sheet metal forming, composites, or integrating electronics into mechanical assemblies.

- Location: San Mateo, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $41 per hour for undergraduates, $53 per hour for graduate students, and $58 per hour for PhD students.
