About the role#
This internship offers the opportunity to work on real-world projects within the Energy Management department at Simmons Foods. Interns gain experience through professional development, relationship management, and hands-on tasks that address actual business challenges. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Develop and foster a continuous improvement culture to enhance processes and reduce waste.
- Participate as a team member to coordinate work, ensure best practices, and attend team meetings.
- Maintain familiarity with established operating systems, including quality, security, and company policies.
- Communicate improvement ideas and identify areas for team cohesiveness.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to support business objectives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agriculture, or Logistics.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and general computer literacy.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer direction.
- Ability to work on your feet for multiple hours, work in various temperatures, and lift at least 10 pounds.
- Preferred experience in manufacturing or poultry industries.
