DoD Skillbridge Internship

About the role#

Significance is seeking a DoD SkillBridge participant to join the team as a recruiter for a structured 26-week internship program. This full-time, paid position provides hands-on exposure to the full recruiting lifecycle within a federal consulting environment. It is designed for transitioning service members to gain practical experience in talent acquisition while supporting mission-driven federal programs.

What you'll do#

• Source candidates using job boards, military transition platforms, and employee referrals.
• Review resumes and applications against position requirements.
• Conduct initial phone screens to evaluate candidate qualifications and interest.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Produce weekly pipeline reports and track recruiting metrics.
• Maintain candidate records and status updates in the applicant tracking system.
• Draft, edit, and post job descriptions on internal and external boards.

What you'll need#

• A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; 4+ years of military experience in administration, personnel, or human resources can substitute for a degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
• Professional demeanor and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
