About the role#
Significance is seeking a DoD SkillBridge participant to join the team as a recruiter for a structured 26-week internship program. This full-time, paid position provides hands-on exposure to the full recruiting lifecycle within a federal consulting environment. It is designed for transitioning service members to gain practical experience in talent acquisition while supporting mission-driven federal programs.
What you'll do#
- Source candidates using job boards, military transition platforms, and employee referrals.
- Review resumes and applications against position requirements.
- Conduct initial phone screens to evaluate candidate qualifications and interest.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Produce weekly pipeline reports and track recruiting metrics.
- Maintain candidate records and status updates in the applicant tracking system.
- Draft, edit, and post job descriptions on internal and external boards.
What you'll need#
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; 4+ years of military experience in administration, personnel, or human resources can substitute for a degree.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
