About the role#
This internship offers a hands-on learning experience within the construction industry. You will report to a supervisor and a talent management partner while working on an active project. The goal is to provide you with insight into the construction process by assisting the project team with daily operations and management tasks.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with estimating, scheduling, safety, quality control, and budget management.
- Assist field staff to develop an understanding of onsite operations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and handle material tracking.
- Manage project files, documentation, and progress reporting.
- Gain experience using construction management software like ProCore.
- Network with industry professionals to learn about teamwork and collaboration.
- Help fellow employees as needed and take on new tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a construction, engineering, or business degree program.
- Ability to work in a construction environment, including walking, bending, reaching, and working off ladders.
- Reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with project management systems like Viewpoint or ProCore is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, high motivation, and a positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and work both independently and in a team.
