About the role#
The Residential Advisor for Student Leadership supports student life through programming and support within the campus residence halls. This live-in role involves working with the Dean of Students to foster an engaging community and assist with operational procedures. You will also participate in a crisis response rotation and help maintain a safe environment for students.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a live-in staff member within the residence halls.
- Support residence hall community-building efforts in collaboration with Resident Assistants.
- Respond to student behavioral, safety, and wellness concerns using a student-centered approach.
- Assist professional staff with documentation, referrals, and follow-up related to incidents.
- Provide on-site event support and logistical coordination as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree is required. Active pursuit of a Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in student programming, leadership development, or housing and residence life is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Relevant majors include Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, and Public Health.

- Compensation: This position is paid with a $14,000 yearly stipend and includes on-campus housing.
