About the role#
ServisFirst Bank is hiring a Credit Analyst Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Huntsville, Alabama.
What you'll do#
You will help determine the creditworthiness of potential clients. This involves reviewing financial statements, borrowing history, and market conditions to support loan approval and term setting. You will also manage electronic credit files and handle financial documentation.
Your daily tasks include:
- Conduct financial analysis and underwriting for new loan requests and maturities.
- Coordinate with Loan Officers to gather financial information like tax returns and balance sheets.
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of client credit.
- Generate monthly reports on items such as maturing loans, past due accounts, and collateral exceptions.
- Run reports on current and past maturities.
- Follow all relevant compliance regulations and internal policies.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student majoring in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a role that requires data analysis and attention to detail.
- Ability to organize your work and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
