About the role#
Security National Bank offers an internship program for students interested in exploring a career in finance. You will gain exposure to various departments, including Retail Banking, Operations, and Wealth Management. During the program, you will own a project designed to create a strategic business impact for the bank. This is a paid, part-time position with a rolling application process.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations by completing administrative tasks.
- Learn and follow company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
- Participate in meetings and contribute your own ideas.
- Represent the bank in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.
- Take initiative to resolve issues and follow up in a timely manner.
- Work independently to complete assigned tasks and projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year bachelor's degree program, with graduation expected in the next 6 to 12 months.
- Academic or extracurricular interest in Finance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to navigate multiple computer systems.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple requests, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing directions.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and a team-oriented mindset.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position.
- Locations include Sioux City, Akron, Mapleton, and Moville in Iowa, as well as Dakota Dunes and Sioux Falls in South Dakota.
- Work is performed during regular business hours.
