This paid internship program provides project-based learning and real-world experience for students interested in financial services. The program is designed to enhance professionalism, offer mentorship, and provide entry-level exposure to member services functions. This role serves as a talent pipeline with the potential for future part-time or full-time employment at SECU.
What you'll do#
- Conduct project-based research and deliver a final presentation to leadership.
- Gain exposure to member services, including account services, deposit account origination, card services, and digital channel support.
- Perform administrative tasks such as mailings, document imaging, and other clerical duties.
- Collaborate with internal teams and departments to support research and project development.
- Provide direct service to members through phone and digital communication channels.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment at an accredited university or college based in North Carolina.
- Major in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Rising sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student status.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Ability to commit to a 10-12 week program for at least 10 hours per week.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship or the need for CPT/OPT.
Location & details#
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site in North Carolina.
- Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or filing, and the ability to lift or carry up to 5 lbs.
