About the role#
The Summer Leadership Intern role at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA offers a hands-on experience in park operations. You will gain exposure to park leadership and business management while overseeing front-line teams. This is a paid, part-time position for the 2027 summer season.
What you'll do#
- Attend seminars led by various departments, including Finance, Culinary Operations, Marketing, and Human Resources.
- Participate in park tours and meetings with the leadership team.
- Complete a team project focused on a real-world business case and present your findings to Senior Leadership.
- Oversee daily operations at assigned locations to ensure safety, cleanliness, and service standards.
- Coordinate employee schedules, rotations, and breaks.
- Assist with training new Ambassadors and maintain safety standards for staff and guests.
- Monitor labor budgets and location supplies.
- Provide coaching and feedback to team members regarding their performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, ideally in Business Administration or Operations Management.
- Commitment to work through the full 2027 peak operating season, from mid-May to mid-August.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Strong communication and human relations skills.
- Previous experience in leadership or theme parks is a plus.
