About the role#
Seaport Therapeutics is looking for a co-op student to join the Discovery team in a lab-based bioanalysis role. You will work with our team to screen novel drugs and advance candidates from our Glyph prodrug platform. This position is based in our lab in Boston.
What you'll do#
- Run in vitro experiments using LC-MS to screen lipid prodrugs.
- Process and analyze in vivo samples, such as plasma and lymph fluid, to generate DMPK data.
- Develop and optimize LC-MS methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on LC-MS instrumentation.
- Document experiments in an electronic notebook and analyze data for reports and internal presentations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Master’s level program for Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous lab or co-op experience is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of HPLC, reverse phase chromatography, and mass spectrometry.
- Experience with protein precipitation, enzyme kinetics, and liquid-liquid extraction is helpful.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
