About the role#
ScorePlay is moving from light deployments to structured rollouts that meet the technical requirements of large sports and broadcast organizations. The Deployment team sits between our product and the client to make complex implementations simple. We are looking for an intern in New York to join our team and work on real client environments alongside senior engineers. This role is for someone who can read code, understand APIs, and debug workflows. We are hiring for this position with the intention of converting the right candidate into a full-time Deployment Engineer.
What you'll do#
- Investigate and resolve technical issues raised by clients during and after onboarding, such as integration errors or permission problems.
- Dig into logs and API responses to find the root cause of issues.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for client technical teams.
- Join large deployments, including archive migrations and platform setups, alongside senior engineers.
- Own repeatable parts of a rollout, including environment preparation, configuration, data checks, and validation.
- Follow and improve the existing deployment playbook.
- Turn recurring issues into repeatable solutions like scripts, internal tools, or AI agents.
- Automate manual parts of the delivery process.
- Help the Deployment team integrate AI into their daily work.
What you'll need#
- Final year of an engineering program or a master’s degree in Business with at least one experience working on technical topics.
- Solid understanding of APIs.
- Ability to read, understand, and modify scripts in Python, JavaScript, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience as a power user of AI tools.
- Comfort with ambiguity and solving problems that lack existing solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and technical teams.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
