About the role#
Saskatoon Co-operative Association Ltd. is hiring a temporary, part-time Yard Attendant for the Eckville Farm Centre. This position is part of the Alberta Youth Incentive Program for individuals aged 15 to 24. The contract runs through September 30, 2026, with a schedule of 24 to 36 hours per week. You must be available to work weekdays and weekends across morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service to patrons of the farm centre.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks.
- Prepare orders to ensure prompt delivery.
- Operate hand and controlled forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by your manager.
What you'll need#
- Strong attention to detail and a self-motivated work ethic.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, as heavy lifting is required.
- A valid Class 3 Licence with Air brake endorsement is an asset.
- Prior experience operating a forklift is preferred.
- You must be over 14 years old and provide an acceptable driver abstract upon hire.
