Yard Attendant (Temporary, Part Time)

About the role#

Saskatoon Co-operative Association Ltd. is seeking a temporary, part-time Yard Attendant to join the Eckville Farm Centre. This role is part of the Alberta Youth Incentive Program, which supports the hiring of youth aged 15 to 24. This is a contract position running until approximately September 30, 2026.

What you'll do#

• Provide excellent customer service to visitors at the Farm Centre.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties as required.
• Operate hand and controlled forklifts to move inventory.
• Prepare orders to ensure prompt delivery.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, as some heavy lifting is required.

What you'll need#

• Exceptional attention to detail and quality.
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Experience running a forklift is preferred.
• A valid Class 3 Licence with Air brake endorsement is considered an asset.
• Ability to provide an acceptable driver's abstract upon hire.
• Applicants must be over 14 years of age.

Location & details#

• Location: Eckville, Alberta, Canada.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: 24 to 36 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends (mornings, afternoons, and evenings).
• Relevant academic backgrounds include Industrial Engineering, Logistics, and Mechanical Engineering.
