About the role#
Lake Country Co-op is hiring three Student Grocery Clerks for our Food Store in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. This role is for students who want to gain experience in retail store operations and customer service. You will report to the Grocery Team Leader and work a flexible schedule that includes after school hours, weekends, and holidays.
What you'll do#
- Serve guests and assist them in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Stock products, face shelves, and retrieve carts when needed.
- Monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory, following first in, first out (FIFO) practices.
- Keep the department clean by tidying shelves and displays and clearing aisles of debris.
- Follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems.
- Support the organization's vision and mission through your daily work.
What you'll need#
- You are well-organized and can work with a minimum amount of supervision.
- You are motivated and service-oriented.
- You can handle the physical requirements of the job, including standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting between 25 and 50 lbs.
- You are familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
- We welcome students from majors including Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Logistics, Agriculture, and Criminal Justice.
