About the role#
The Location Manager provides overall leadership for the Hanna Agro location with Westview Co-op. This position oversees all aspects of the operation, including financial results, sales, margins, and inventory management. The manager is responsible for ensuring the location aligns with corporate values while driving operational efficiency and long-term sustainability.
What you'll do#
- Lead talent management initiatives, including performance management, development, engagement, and succession planning.
- Oversee the safe and effective daily operations of the facility.
- Collaborate with team members to identify operational improvements and execute strategic goals.
- Assist in the preparation and development of the annual budget.
- Manage administrative duties, including invoices, claims, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
- Review financial statements to provide coaching and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the implementation of marketing campaigns and coordinate with other Agro locations.
- Monitor external competitive pressures and provide recommendations to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure consistent adherence to company policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably within the agriculture industry.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and industry-relevant knowledge, such as agronomy, chemical application, seed, or crop production.
- Strong business and organizational skills, including experience managing operating budgets and resources.
- Ability to drive company vision and purpose through strategic decision-making.
- Professional communication skills and a focus on guest service.
- Proven ability to build relationships, manage conflict, and ensure team accountability.
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Education in Agriculture, Business Administration, or Operations Management is preferred.
