About the role#
The North Central Co-op is seeking a part-time Liquor Clerk to join the team at the Erin Ridge Liquor Store in St. Albert, Alberta. This role requires availability during evenings and weekends, with open availability considered an asset. Applicants should note that this position involves a criminal record check.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service while maintaining a safe and efficient store operation.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements regarding the sale of alcohol.
- Process and package customer purchases using the point of sale terminal.
- Manage daily cash reconciliations.
- Organize, clean, and stock merchandise, including lifting and moving up to 20lbs consistently.
- Assist team members with general housekeeping and other assigned duties.
What you'll need#
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Previous experience in liquor retail, cashier roles, or customer service is an asset.
- Experience with inventory, merchandising, or stocking is an asset.
- ProServe Liquor Staff Training or WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) certification are considered assets.
- Ability to work collaboratively to meet shared objectives.
