About the role#
Red River Co-op is hiring a Cashier for the Lakeview Gas Bar in Kenora, Ontario. This position reports to the Gas Bar Manager and focuses on providing efficient service while maintaining store standards.
What you'll do#
- Provide fast and friendly customer service to all patrons.
- Educate customers and staff on the benefits of Red River Co-op membership and encourage new sign-ups.
- Operate a cash register, process payments, and provide change.
- Maintain store inventory by keeping merchandise stocked and faced.
- Adhere to all legal requirements regarding the sale of tobacco and lottery products.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure the facility meets safety and sanitation standards.
- Follow loss prevention practices and report any hazardous conditions to management.
What you'll need#
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in mental math.
- Previous experience working in a retail environment, ideally with cash handling responsibilities.
- Open availability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
