About the role#
Red River Co-op is hiring a Cashier for the Lakeview Gas Bar in Kenora, Ontario. You will report directly to the Gas Bar Manager. This is a full-time, on-site position with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and efficient service to all customers.
- Operate the cash register, process payments, and provide change.
- Stock merchandise and keep the store displays organized.
- Explain the benefits of Red River Co-op membership to customers and staff.
- Follow all regulations for the sale of tobacco and lottery products.
- Maintain store cleanliness and perform general housekeeping duties.
- Follow safety protocols and report any hazards to management.
- Use loss prevention practices to protect store merchandise and fuel.
What you'll need#
- Strong interpersonal skills and a focus on serving others.
- Good mental math abilities.
- Experience in a retail setting, preferably with cash handling.
- Open availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Interest in fields such as Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications is a plus.
