Red River Co-op is seeking a Cashier for the Lakeview Gas Bar in Kenora, Ontario. This role reports to the Gas Bar Manager and focuses on providing efficient service while maintaining the site's standards.
What you'll do#
- Provide fast, friendly, and efficient customer service.
- Operate a cash register, process payments, and provide change.
- Educate customers and staff on Red River Co-op membership benefits and encourage new memberships.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure merchandise is properly faced.
- Follow all legal requirements for the sale of tobacco and lottery products.
- Perform general housekeeping to meet safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor for loss prevention and report hazardous conditions to management.
What you'll need#
- Strong interpersonal skills and a focus on serving others.
- Experience in a retail environment, ideally with cash handling.
- Proficiency in mental math.
- Open availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
