As an Enterprise Technology Intern, you will work with business system analysts and developers to design, build, and deploy AI agents and automation frameworks. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency of enterprise software and internal tooling at a defense technology company. You will gain experience in integrating AI with production business systems while contributing to projects that provide measurable value across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Build copilots, automation, and internal tooling to increase software delivery efficiency.
- Advance spec-driven development by writing clear, structured specifications, including intent, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop reusable agent skills and tools to improve organizational scalability.
- Connect agents to enterprise tools and data via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable cross-functional workflows.
- Identify high-value use cases for AI adoption and prototype agents that reduce manual tasks.
- Establish guardrails for enterprise AI, including monitoring, logging, observability, and access controls to ensure safety and reliability.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
- Solid programming fundamentals and the ability to read and write code.
- A genuine interest in agentic AI with some hands-on exposure to LLMs, such as prompting, tool/function calling, or building against an LLM API.
- A working understanding of APIs, specifically REST and JSON.
- Clear written communication skills and the ability to document technical work.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Must meet the definition of a "U.S. Person" as defined by U.S. law to access export-controlled information.
Location & details#
- Location: Austin, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August through December).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site (40 hours per week).
- Status: Paid internship.
