About the role#
This is a part-time, paid internship at Saputo Inc. You will work on-site at one of our manufacturing facilities to gain hands-on experience in the food and beverage industry. This position offers a rolling term, allowing you to learn about quality standards and plant operations in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Support the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams with daily plant operations.
- Assist with product evaluations, inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement projects related to manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Help verify sanitation, GMP, HACCP, and other food safety programs.
- Support internal audits and process reviews.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and laboratory teams.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates for the quality team.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Interest in food manufacturing, quality assurance, and food safety systems.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Working knowledge of computer programs like Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism.
- Ability to work scheduled hours and overtime when required.
