About the role#
As a Supply Chain Intern at Saputo, you will support the Production Planning department. This role involves identifying and implementing improvements for cost reduction, network optimization, and general process efficiency. You will work on one to three specific projects during your internship, contributing directly to the success of the supply chain team.
What you'll do#
- Plan for SKUs, routes, categories, or distribution centers.
- Provide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to leadership.
- Identify and communicate supply chain risks, such as shortages, overages, or delays, to key stakeholders.
- Evaluate network layouts by analyzing ordering quantities, warehouse costs, transportation costs, and distribution footprints.
- Analyze customer order patterns, shelf life, and lead times to establish default stocking recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills.
- Familiarity with supply chain concepts, software, and operational planning or scheduling.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including vlookups, pivot tables, and if/then statements.
- Previous experience with SAP is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while managing multiple tasks.
- Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills.
- Availability to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
