About the role#
The Student Investment Analyst works with the investment team to support ongoing processes and research projects. You will assist in asset allocation analysis, manager selection, and portfolio monitoring. This role is a member of the investment team and contributes to projects that support the success of the investment portfolio.
What you'll do#
- Conduct asset class analysis and reviews of future opportunities.
- Perform research projects as directed by the CIO and Director of Investments.
- Assist investment analysts with research priorities and data aggregation for portfolio monitoring.
- Monitor external public and private asset managers for performance, risk, and opportunity.
- Statistically compare investment managers across various metrics.
- Prepare for and participate in quarterly calls with current and prospective investment managers.
- Manage team projects using relationship databases and portfolio management software.
- Collaborate with the team, focusing on work quality, proactivity, and follow-through.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year undergraduate program as a rising senior, graduating the following summer.
- Majors in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics.
- Demonstrated interest in global markets, investing, and economics.
- Foundational knowledge of economic, accounting, and corporate finance theories.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong quantitative, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and clear communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential material and work in a time-sensitive environment.
- High level of attention to detail, organization, and accountability.
