About the role#
This role maintains and supports the Banner Student module and related software. You will act as a bridge between the ITS department and software users across the college. The position involves evaluating system performance, improving business processes, and serving as a backup for the Manager of Banner Student System Services.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot and solve problems for Banner Student and Texas Connection Consortium modules.
- Collaborate with the curriculum department to move requirements into Banner and Degree Works.
- Manage Courseleaf CIM software and oversee data transfers.
- Assist with implementation projects by preparing test plans, monitoring end user testing, and creating training guides.
- Review and finalize End-of-Term jobs, including rolling grades to academic history and calculating GPAs.
- Set up Beginning of Term dates that drive registration, refunds, and drop/add processes.
- Coordinate security access roles based on user requirements.
- Maintain program codes in external databases like ApplyTexas and the Texas Common Course Number System.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated expertise using Banner Student modules.
- Experience troubleshooting and solving software system problems.
- Ability to interpret complex information and make evaluative determinations.
- Proficiency in coordinating with end users and stakeholders.
- Education in Computer Science or Business Administration.
