About the role#
This internship provides practical exposure to the full sales process within the metals industry. You will work alongside the Sales Manager, Inside Sales, and Outside Sales teams to support the growth of the Hermitage business. This is a part-time role, typically 12 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your class schedule.
What you'll do#
- Research prospective customers, markets, and industries to find new business opportunities.
- Assist the sales team with researching customer growth targets.
- Prepare materials for customer meetings, sales calls, and business development discussions.
- Perform sales reporting and analysis to identify trends and areas for growth.
- Help with inventory cycle counts and related inventory projects.
- Shadow sales representatives to learn about customer relationship management and the sales process.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university program, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Logistics.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with data and learn new business systems.
- Interest in sales, business development, or the manufacturing industry.
