About the role#
As a Substance Use Disorder Intern at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will gain experience across the 12 Core Functions of addiction counseling. You will work on-site in Cambridge, Minnesota, as part of a clinical team. This is a paid, W2 position with a starting rate of $15.00 per hour. The role is open to students completing a formal practicum or internship through their academic program.
What you'll do#
- Manage a small caseload of individual clients.
- Conduct intakes and assessments to guide treatment plans.
- Co-facilitate SUD process groups and individual sessions for patients.
- Create and present psycho-educational lectures during group sessions.
- Develop person-centered treatment plans.
- Maintain clinical progress notes and patient records in compliance with 245g MN state standards.
- Collaborate with your treatment team on care plans.
- Attend weekly supervision, clinical staff meetings, and internal trainings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an associate, bachelor, or master degree program in Alcohol and Drug counseling, Co-occurring, or a related field.
- Eligibility to pursue LADC/ADC-T licensure, or LADC and LPCC/LGSW/LMFT licensure upon program completion.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism and integrity.
- Previous work or volunteer experience is preferred, such as roles in inpatient mental health, residential programs, or independent living skills.
