About the role#
S&ME is hiring for the Spark Summer Internship Program for 2027. This is a full-time, twelve-week internship running from May 2027 through August 2027. You will work alongside experienced professional and technical employee-owners in your specific area of interest. As part of an intern cohort, you will gain hands-on experience and participate in professional development programs to help you transition from campus to your career.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with professional and technical staff on engineering projects.
- Gain practical, hands-on experience in civil, environmental, construction, or geotechnical engineering.
- Participate in an intern cohort.
- Engage in professional development programs designed to support your growth.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Preference is given to rising juniors, seniors, and graduate students.
- Related experience or leadership roles in campus, community, or work settings are preferred.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 40 to 50 lbs.
- Availability for potential out of town travel.
