About the role#
The Spark Summer Internship provides students with hands-on experience in engineering services. You will join an intern cohort to learn about the various aspects of the company while working alongside experienced professional and technical employee-owners. This is a full-time position for a twelve-week term from May 2027 through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Gain practical experience in your specific area of interest.
- Participate in professional development activities to help you transition from campus to your career.
- Engage with technical experts across the company.
- Contribute to projects within service lines such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Services, and Geotechnical Engineering.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a related degree program, specifically Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Preference is given to rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Capability to perform routine lifting of 40 to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to travel out of town if required.
- Related experience or leadership roles in campus, community, or work settings are preferred.
- You must meet the requirements of the company Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy, and reference check program.
