About the role#
The RTW Institute is the policy and advocacy arm of RTW Investments. This internship focuses on the intersection of biomedical innovation, healthcare economics, and public policy. You will work with experts to evaluate scientific data and track regulatory developments. The program runs for 8 to 10 weeks starting October 5, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Research drug development, healthcare affordability, and the impact of regulatory changes.
- Monitor and summarize trends in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
- Analyze case studies and data to assess the health and economic impact of new therapies.
- Draft white papers, policy briefs, and scripts for explainer videos.
- Present your findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current graduate students, recent graduates, or exceptional undergraduate students.
- Academic background in life sciences, public policy, public health, business, or related fields.
- Experience reviewing scientific literature, policy reports, and industry analyses.
- Familiarity with healthcare policy, regulatory frameworks, and the fundamentals of drug development.
- Strong writing and analytical skills with the ability to turn complex information into clear insights.
- A detail-oriented and proactive approach to your work.
