About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work across our product areas including Brokerage, Crypto, and Core Experience. You will join an engineering team to own projects from initial scoping through production. You will partner with a dedicated mentor to build features and tools that millions of people use. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a dedicated mentor to navigate our tech stack and financial domain.
- Architect new consumer features and reusable UI paradigms.
- Own significant parts of project execution.
- Build and test products to support brokerage operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to iterate on products.
- Design frameworks and tools that empower other developers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time, degree-seeking program in Computer Science.
- Expected graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Fluency in JavaScript or React Native, with a strong grasp of fundamentals.
- Understanding of functional and reactive programming paradigms.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and knowledge of coding best practices.
- Solid communication skills and the ability to drive large projects forward.
- Strong design intuition and user empathy.
- Familiarity with Python, Django, or Go is a plus.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Menlo Park, California, or New York, New York.
- The work modality is hybrid, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
