About the role#
Rising Edge Group is seeking Field Engineer Co-ops to support the execution of high-voltage electrical infrastructure and EPC projects. This is a hands-on, field-based opportunity for students to gain practical experience working alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams. You will support project execution throughout the lifecycle, from planning and procurement through construction, testing, and closeout. Assignments are available for 3 months, 6 months, or up to 1 year.
What you'll do#
- Support day-to-day project execution and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field crews.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents for constructability.
- Assist with tracking project progress, quantities, materials, and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain daily reports, progress reports, and project documentation.
- Support RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project controls.
- Participate in field walks, inspections, coordination meetings, and project planning.
- Assist with quality control, environmental compliance, and material inventory.
- Help identify and resolve field issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Availability for a 3-month, 6-month, or 1-year co-op assignment.
- Strong interest in electrical infrastructure, power delivery, or construction.
- Ability to work effectively in a field-based construction environment and meet physical site requirements.
- Willingness to relocate or travel to project sites as required.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or scheduling software is helpful.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
