About the role#
Rise Recovery offers practicum and internship placements for students interested in behavioral health and recovery services. These roles provide hands-on experience supporting youth, young adults, and families impacted by substance use. Placements are designed to meet academic requirements while developing professional competencies under the guidance of licensed clinicians or certified peer supervisors.
What you'll do#
Clinical and peer support interns contribute to the daily operations of recovery-oriented programs. Responsibilities include:
- Observing and co-facilitating group sessions.
- Participating in intake and assessment processes.
- Assisting with treatment planning and case coordination.
- Completing clinical documentation under supervision.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Providing supervised peer recovery support and assisting with recovery goal setting.
- Supporting engagement in programming and facilitating recovery-oriented activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited academic or certification program that requires practicum hours.
- Good academic standing.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Commitment to fulfilling scheduled hours and supervision requirements.
- Successful completion of required screenings and compliance documentation.
