About the role#
The 2026 Summer Internship at Rialto Capital is a 10-week program designed to provide hands-on experience in the real estate investment and asset management industry. Interns will work within one of several departments, including CMBS Performing Loans, CMBS Loan Workout, Real Estate Asset Management, or Collateral Surveillance. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Miami, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate real estate transactions, such as leasing matters, property sales, property management changes, and hotel franchise agreements.
- Recommend resolution strategies for non-performing loans, including loan modifications, foreclosures, forbearance, and discounted payoffs.
- Assess, manage, and liquidate real estate owned by the company or its subsidiaries.
- Monitor risk factors associated with properties underlying CMBS bond investments and conduct market research.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis to support team decision-making and present conclusions to approval committees.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds and perform tasks that require standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate Junior, first-year MBA student, or 1L/2L law student.
- Demonstrated passion for the real estate industry.
- Highly analytical mindset with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to relocate to Miami, Florida for the duration of the summer.
