About the role#
The Branch Operations Intern role focuses on learning the consumer finance business and Regional Management Corp. practices. This position is designed to prepare you for future branch management responsibilities. You will work directly in a branch office, assisting customers in person and over the phone.
What you'll do#
- Complete the required training program.
- Learn to underwrite loans and understand personal loan product offerings.
- Build customer relationships by delivering service and helping customers make educated financial decisions.
- Develop and present consolidation options to customers.
- Work with past-due customers to arrange payments and help maintain delinquency reduction standards.
- Offer additional loan products to existing customers.
- Execute business plans for outbound solicitation to former customers.
- Close loans under the direction of the Branch Manager.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in an accredited college program.
- A major in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work 8 to 25 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
- Computer literacy and a sales mentality.
- Previous work experience in a customer-facing environment.
- High energy, self-confidence, and leadership qualities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and multi-task effectively.
- A valid Driver's License and access to a dependable automobile with liability insurance.
- Willingness to relocate for future career advancement.
- Must pass pre-employment assessments, including a drug screen, credit check, and criminal background check.
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain all required certifications and licenses.
