About the role#
As an intern at Realm, you will work alongside full-time engineers on features that run at active mine sites. You will move beyond internal tooling to build and ship production code. Our team operates remotely and values high agency and deep ownership. You will work closely with our leadership team and senior engineers who are invested in your professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to our TypeScript backend that serves real-time mining operations data.
- Build and ship features end-to-end.
- Develop applied AI features using LLMs for automation and analysis.
- Contribute to computer vision pipelines using tools like AWS Rekognition and TensorFlow.
- Deploy code to production environments using Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Translate real-world operational challenges into functional software features.
What you'll need#
- Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a BS in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Proficiency with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
- Ability to work independently and come up to speed on new tasks without heavy hand-holding.
- US citizenship or permanent residency and current residence in the US.
